The Simpsons has been around since 1989 and in that time has parodied a plethora of popular movies and TV shows. Up next will be a parody of Netflix's
Stranger Things.
Stranger Things is currently a popular phenomenon released through the streaming giant which is inspired by classic movies of the 1980s. The show itself also takes place within that time period and features a bunch of science fiction elements such as parallel dimensions.
This year's
"Treehouse of Horror" Halloween special episode of
The Simpsons will feature a segment named
"Danger Things," that will take the mick out of all three seasons of the aformentioned, popular Netflix series. It's said that this episode will debut on October 20th, a couple of days prior to Halloween itself.
During San Diego Comic-Con 2019, the entire segment of the episode of shown off on stage. It featured Millhouse playing the role of Will Byers and being dragged into a parallel dimension named the
"Over Under." According to
IGN, the
"Danger Things" portion will feature the narrative, tone, music, and overt product placement of the series that it's based on.
