At Star Wars Celebration this weekend, developer Respawn Entertainment and Electronic Arts unveiled their highly anticipated game,
Star Wars Jedi: Fallen Order. Fans were treated to a story trailer for the upcoming action-adventure game, which is set shortly after the events of
Star Wars: Revenge of the Sith. As revealed in the trailer, players will take on the role of Cal Kestis, a Jedi Padawan who somehow survived Order 66 and is now being hunted by the Empire and its deadly Inquisitors.
Fans of
Star Wars: Rebels will undoubtedly recognize the Inquisitors as a group of Force-wielding, former Jedi Knights and Masters who fell to the Dark Side. With the powers strengthened, they served as minions of Darth Vader and Emperor Palpatine to hunt down the remaining Jedi.
As revealed during the panel, S
tar Wars Jedi: Fallen Order's main antagonist will be Second Sister, a member of the Inquisitorius who was only briefly talked about as to avoid spoilers. Second Sister actually first appeared in
Darth Vader: Dark Lord of the Sith 19: Fortress Vader Part I, but she'll receive more attention in the upcoming game as the main protagonist.
"She's exceptionally intelligent," Respawn said of the character, teasing some pretty powerful abilities in the teaser trailer.
"If you watch the trailer, you'll see she's actually using the Force to control the flight stick of the ship that Cal is on. She's very clever."
Star Wars Jedi: Fallen Order is an action-adventure game set after Star Wars: Episode III — Revenge of the Sith™. Develop your Force abilities, hone your lightsaber techniques, and explore the ancient mysteries of a long-lost civilization—all while staying one step ahead of the Empire and its deadly Inquisitors.
Respawn promises to reveal more about the Second Sister in the coming weeks, perhaps at EA Play in June.
Star Wars Jedi: Fallen Order is due out on November 15, 2019, for Xbox One, PS4, and PC.
