POKEMON GO Continues To Grow As Game Earns Over 70 Million In October, Improving Over 2017

While Pokemon Go is free-to-play, there are plenty of ways to spend real money on the game and it doesn't look like people plan on stopping anytime soon, spending more this year than last.

Pokemon Go contiues to prove its unending popularity by continuing to make money on a free-to-play game. Earning $73 million in October, the revenue shows an increase over October 2017 by 67%, with the spending from players in Japan and the United States making up roughly two thirds of the income.

Since the game is free to download and play on your phone, some people may be shocked at how the company made so much in a single month, but the cost of poke-balls, raid items, boxes during events, or more specifically - avatar items is enough to make a pretty penny without there being a cost to the game, in the same vein as many other mobile games that are free-to-play.

Recently Niantic has been pushing a lot of events, likely due to the upcoming release of Pokemon Let's Go: Eevee and Pikachu and that may play a factor in why the numbers are so high, or maybe trainers are happy to see the game finally include creatures that were introduced in Generation IV, first seen in Pokemon: Diamond and Pearl.

So trainers, are you one to spend your money dressing up the fake version of you, or would you rather stock up on Pokeballs with your hard earned cash? Maybe you choose not to spend real money on the game at all - but whatever your thoughts may be, be sure to share them below!
