At D23 this weekend, Marvel Animation & Family Entertainment announced the newest original animated series
Marvel's Spidey and His Amazing Friends. Debuting on Disney Junior in 2021, the series is "geared towards preschoolers and their families."
The theme of the show seems to be revolve around Peter Parker — who is used to working alone — learning how to be a spider friend and work well with others. The series will see Spider-Man team up with friends Miles Morales and Ghost-Spider, as well as other Marvel heroes such as Hulk, Blank Panther, and Ms. Marvel, to defeat evil foes.
“Preschool kids already love Spidey, so they’ll be delighted to have Peter Parker thwipping across their screens in this new series,” said Cort Lane, senior vice president, Marvel Animation & Family Entertainment.
“Everyone at Marvel is thrilled to launch our first preschool series on Disney Junior, the gold standard platform for the audience. We believe parents and kids will be excited about these stories filled with themes of friendship, cooperation, solving problems and using your abilities to help others.”

Marvel's Spidey and His Amazing Friends is the second animated spidey show, but the first full-length Marvel series geared towards the Disney Junior audience. Disney XD currently airs
Marvel's Spider-Man, which is now in its third season.
