Pokémon GO Trainers have gotten spoiled like crazy during the fourth quarter of 2018. Niantic has continuously been bringing back old Legendaries, adding new features, throwing Events and adding special bonuses to beg players old and new to return to or stay with the game. With the recent addition of Trainer Battles, players can even battle their friends - near or far, which brings things to a whole new level for the game.
Of all the things that have been added though, one of the most exciting of late is when Niantic finally graced fans with the Sinnoh Region creatures - Generation 4. These creatures were first introduced in the
Pokémon core game titles -
Diamond and
Pearl. In these games the Sinnoh Region replaces the classic Kanto Region that many fans recognize from the early Anime episodes or from back in
Red and
Blue.
Despite everything Niantic may adding to the game, they are still slipping Gen 4 creatures into the mix. In fact, there are fresh faces here to close out the year, and we have a full breakdown here.
Obviously, December is cold, so we're getting Ice
Pokémon like never before. Appearing regularly will be Jynx, Spheal, Swinub, Snorunt, Sneasel, and Snover in the wild. Also, shiny delibird will be around, but we already reported that news several days back.
Snover is one of the new Sinnoh
Pokémon to be added, along with his evolution, Abomasnow. In addition to them, the holiday will also bring Croagunk and Toxicroak though they aren't Ice/Type. Shorupi, Drapion, Bronzor, and Bronzong round out the list as they have just started appearing in the game as well. Also, any Trainers with a Sneasel can evolve it using 100 Sneasel Candy and a Sinnoh Stone to recieve Weavile, another Ice Pokémon who hails from the Sinnoh Region. If you don't have the candy, now's the time to grab it as the Sneasel is currently spawning.
There are also new holiday items in the shop that can be purchased, including Delibird themed clothing. Plus, a new santa hat Pikachu family that you can collect awaits you! Will you be catching them all this Christmas?
