You'd think that something as important as your main character's design would be something you've thought-over and planned to no end - which is why this recent revelation is so surprising.
The main character of Nickelodeon's The Fairly OddParents, Timmy, sports a look which quickly became iconic - the most notable piece of garb being his signature pink hat. According to Butch Hartman, the creator of both the character and the show, there was no intricate forethought behind Timmy's look, rather the young boy's hat was made pink simply because Hartman was short on blue ink.
This intriguing revelation came about on account of Hartman humorously replying to a tweet from Paris Hilton, of all people, stating "Tell me something I don't know...." to which Hartman retorted:
Hartman went on to share an image featuring Timmy's original design and colour scheme as well as reveal that Wanda, one of the titular godparents, was originally going to have blue hair as well!
He also mentioned that Cosmo's design didn't change near enough to bring up here - though if you'd like to see the original sketch anyway, you can check out the full thread here.
What do you think about this revelation? Would you have preferred the designs to have been blue rather than pink?
