Cartoon Network, hot on the heels of revealing a slate of returning series, is not letting up. The cartoon giant is making plans to have a huge presence at Annecy Animation Festival and MIFA.
The company plans to show off several of its artists, but it doesn’t end there one bit. The other section of the plan is to provide a picnic and scholarships. This is good news for any young and upcoming animator who wants to make it big.
“At Cartoon Network, we are always looking for emerging talent from around the world with unique voices,” said Hidalgo. “Last year at Annecy, we proudly announced that we would be supporting a student at the Animation Workshop, as part of our efforts to find and nurture the amazing and diverse talent we have in the EMEA region. We want to help new talent through the ranks to join the likes of this year’s amazing panelists and become leaders of future Cartoon Network shows – and we are thrilled to be offering this much-needed funding to another student for the coming year.”
Let’s hope things go according to plan for Cartoon Network at the festival. Additionally, let's also hope the right student is chosen for the scholarship.
