After weeks of speculation and previous reports that Castlevania season 2 would premiere this Summer, it has been officially announced at Anime Expo 2018 that the video game adaptation will release all 8 episodes on October 26- the Friday before Halloween.

Warren Ellis, veteran comic book writer and the series screenwriter, previously revealed that season 2 would be where he started to diverge away from the story told in the 1989 Nintendo classic,  Castlevania III: Dracula's Curse.  It will be interesting to see how well fans respond to these changes.  Though, Ellis did quickly follow up that Konami was incredibly detailed and specific about their script tweaks so the second season should shift too far away from the essence of Castlevania's core story.
