ANGRY BIRDS TOONS, SLINGSHOT STORIES, & PIGGY TALES Join New Linear Channel On Toon Goggles

Fans of the outrageously popular Angry Birds franchise will now be able to view their multiple animated series in a new linear format provided by the children's streaming service, Toon Goggles.

In the new digital age, many viewers of all ages have been consuming media via streaming services, often in a binge-able manner. For a lot of kids, this means watching what they want when they want to.

With streaming services growing exponentially for over a decade, many young people haven't consumed media via linear channels such as cable television. With the recent pandemic, the world has been facing and with people at home more often than usual, having to work around a concrete release schedule may not be such a big deal anymore; at least, that's not what Stephen L. Hodge, CEO and co-founder of Toon Goggles Inc believes.

"The kids of today know what they want. If they recognize a brand or know a particular channel always has exciting content, they'll keep coming back to it. With many families staying at home and looking for new ways to entertain themselves, our linear channels provide just that."

Announcing new linear channel additions for several children's programs, the service expects children to easily adjust to this new schedule and enjoy their content differently. One of the big animated additions is a channel from Rovio's Angry Birds. Newly partnered with Toon Goggles, Hanna Valkeapää-Nokkala, the Head of Content at Rovio, made the following remark.

"We're excited to give fans of the Angry Birds a new, kid-safe way to watch our short-form series like Angry Birds Toons, Angry Birds Slingshot Stories, and Piggy Tales. AVOD services provide our fans with an essential way to engage with our brand, especially in these times in which people are more likely to find their entertainment at home. We hope that fans are as excited as we are, and in cooperation with our partner CAKE, we look forward to introducing even more great Angry Birds content on the platform very soon."

What do you guys think about this new approach to children's content? Do you think kids will adjust to a fixed schedule, or is it an uphill battle? Sound off with your thoughts in the usual spot!
