THUNDERCATS ROAR: Cartoon Network Disables YouTube Comments For New Trailer

Cartoon Network's reimagining of the beloved Rankin-Bass animated cartoon ThunderCats has been met with a ton of vitriol, chiefly centered on the Teen Titans Go! creative spin on the '80s franchise.

While fans were quick to make comparisons to Teen Titans Go! when the first footage from ThunderCats Roar was released, the series actually has very little in common with that show, aside from being a lighthearted reimagining of a more serious property.  In reality, the slapstick and animation style of ThunderCats Roar appears to be more in line with OK K.O.! Let's Be Heroes.  As more information about the series is released in the coming weeks, it will be interesting to see whether the same overseas animation studio that worked on OK K.O.! also worked on this show.

ThunderCats Roar will officially premiere on Cartoon Network later this month on February 22. However, the two-part premiere is available to watch right now, on Cartoon Network's website. Do you plan on watching the premiere or have you already viewed it online? Be sure to share your thoughts in the comment section below.

The original ThunderCats animated series premiered in 1985 and consisted of 4 seasons, totalling 130 episodes. A reboot from WB Animation aired from 2011 and lasted 26 episodes.
