There have been some conflicting reports about what the upcoming second season of Marvel Studios' What If...? will focus on, with brief episode descriptions seemingly giving us a pretty good idea of what to expect.
However, we recently found out what the final titles of the 10 episodes will be, and one instalment is going to follow Thor: Ragnarök villain Hela (Cate Blanchett will return to provide the voice) as she harnesses the power of the Ten Rings from Shang-Chi.
Now, insider Can We Get Some Toast has shared some more details on the episode.
Apparently, Hela will be "kicked out of Asgard like in Thor: Ragnarök. But instead of being imprisoned in Hel, she finds herself accepted by Ta-Lo and their inhabitants, learning their martial arts. Odin will invade and war between Asgard and Ta-Lo will break out. Hela’s armor will be all white instead of black and green."
It's also been confirmed that the third instalment will feature the debut of Kahhori, the new Native American superhero created specifically for this show. Marvel has previously shared an official breakdown of her adventure.
"What If…? asks what would happen if the Tesseract fell to Earth and landed in the sovereign Haudenosaunee Confederacy before the colonization of America. The Tesseract takes on a new life and a new mythology, transforming a lake into a gateway to the stars and leading Kahhori, a young Mohawk woman, on a quest to discover her power."

The second season of What If...? still hasn't been given an official premiere date, but is not expected to debut on Disney+ until Q1 2024, with the third season pencilled in for some time in 2025.
