Welcome back to the country scene, Taylor Swift. Earlier this week, the 14-time Grammy Award winner released her new song "I Knew It, I Knew You," which will be featured in Pixar's upcoming film Toy Story 5, and already it's setting records.
Announced on Friday, "I Knew It, I Knew You" officially became the most streamed country song in a single day by a female artist in Spotify history.
On the same day, it also became Apple Music's biggest Country single of 2026, while breaking Apple Music's all-time record for the biggest single soundtrack single, based on first day plays.
And on Amazon Music, it had the largest 24-hour streaming debut for any song globally on the platform in 2026.
"I Knew It, I Knew You" was officially released to the world on Friday. The all-new original country song will be featured in Toy Story 5.
Shortly after the song's debut, a music video for it was also made available on Spotify Premium and Apple Music. The video is comprised entirely of footage from the Toy Story movies, but specifically focuses on Jessie, one of the franchise's most underappreciated characters who is finally now getting the spotlight.
First introduced in Toy Story 5, Jessie has a rather tragic past. She was originally owned by a young girl named Emily, and while the two were inseparable for years, Emily eventually grew older and lost interest in her toys. We briefly see this backstory unfold in Toy Story 2, which helps explain Jessie's fear of being abandoned, but the franchise rarely touched on it afterward.
Until now. Toy Story 5 will apparently focus on Jessie as she helps Bonnie make friends. During her adventure, she'll wind up back at her original owner Emily's old house, which is now occupied by a new family, including a new child she meets named Blaze. Taylor Swift's "I Knew It, I Knew You" will reportedly be featured in the film during some sort of flashback sequence.
"Writing this song felt like a musical departure and coming home at the same time," Swift said earlier this week during the song's debut. "Creating something for Jessie was a new challenge and also felt like second nature all at once. And being a [Toy Story] kid from the age of 5 til now... is an adventure I plan to be on, to infinity and beyond."
Toy Story 5 is set to debut in theaters on June 19.
