After some rough cinematic outings over the last few years, Pixar has returned to its glory days with Inside Out 2.
Hitting North American theaters on June 14, 2024, the film has gone on to become the highest-grossing animated film of all-time and will look to add to its total in the coming weeks.
The film currently sits at $1.463 billion worldwide, which is a new record after overtaking Frozen II's $1.453 billion.
It should be noted that 2019's The Lion King ($1.663 billion) remake is designated as a "photorealism film" instead of as an animated pic.
Up next for Pixar will be Elio, which hits theaters on June 13, 2025, and Toy Story 5, which is set to arrive in North American cinemas on June 19, 2026.
