Renowned video-game director, Hideo Kojima, recently took to Twitter (@HIDEO_KOJIMA_EN) to heap praise on Sony's most recent animated film: Spider-Man: Into The Spider-Verse.

Kojima labels the film a masterpiece before listing off the many facets of animation and art it makes use of. Interestingly, the Japanese creative rounded out his review of the Academy Award-winning animated film with a tease that its themes are similar to that of his upcoming work: Death Stranding.

"Spider- Man: Into the Spider-Verse was great masterpiece! Live action, full CGI, Japanimation, puppet anime, tokusatsu, manga, American comic, graffiti, it carries all the DNA and MEME SCENE, SENSE to make the next gen entertainment art. Good story too! The theme is like TPP+DS," Kojima's tweet read.

There have been theories aplenty relating to the highly-anticipated video-game, a lot of which make mention of it having to do with the multiverse - something it would thereby share with Spider-Man: Into The Spider-Verse. We'll just have to wait until Death Stranding releases to see what's comparable about the two.
