Spider-Man: Across the Spider-Verse is now in theaters, but we're still seeing some new promotional material for the animated sequel find its way online, and this international poster has prompted a lot of discussion.
Miles Morales appears to be holding what we assume is supposed to represent a DNA strand featuring the main Spidey Variants he encounters in the movie, but it actually looks more like... well, without getting too graphic, we'll just say a sex aid and leave it at that!
While we're sure there was no ill intent here, it's kind of mind-blowing to think that nobody picked up on this before the poster was approved for release, because it really does look like... a string of a certain type of beads.
Hey, maybe Miles is simply making an unorthodox - and very brave - attempt to win Gwen's heart?
In Spider-Man: Across the Spider-Verse, after reuniting with Gwen Stacy, Brooklyn’s full-time, friendly neighborhood Spider-Man is catapulted across the Multiverse, where he encounters a team of Spider-People charged with protecting its very existence. However, when the heroes clash on how to handle a new threat, Miles finds himself pitted against the other Spiders and must redefine what it means to be a hero so he can save the people he loves most.
The confirmed voice cast includes Shameik Moore, Hailee Steinfeld, Oscar Isaac, Jake Johnson, Issa Rae, Jason Schwartzman, Daniel Kaluuya, Shea Whigham, Jorma Taccone, Luna Lauren Vélez, and Brian Tyree Henry.
