For many moviegoers who caught Ralph Breaks the Internet in theaters, the best scene was Venelope meeting the various Disney Princesses when she stumbled her way into the world wide web. But could an actual movie featuring all of the various Disney Princesses ever come into fruition? Ralph Breaks the Internet co-directors Phil Johnston and Rich Moore weigh in.
"
It's definitely had an interesting response. [And] not just here in the States but everywhere we've gone in the world to promote the movie- when you're in Stockholm and they go, 'Have you considered doing a movie just about the princesses?', I think it's an idea worth exploring because everywhere we go, we hear that kind of response," said Moore.
He continued, "
And not just the scene with them meeting Venelope and talking about what it means to be a princess but to see them in action at the end, it does feel like there's something to that. People are finally seeing the princesses do what you always believed they could do but you've never [actually] seen it before."
Both Moore and Johnston stated, "
I don't know if they're any serious conversations going on at [Disney] but we've definitely heard a lot of various ideas from the fans."
Ralph Breaks the Internet is currently available on home video digital platforms, DVD and blu-ray.
RALPH BREAKS THE INTERNET SYNOPSIS
Video-game bad guy Ralph and best friend Vanellope von Schweetz leave the comforts of Litwak's arcade in an attempt to save her game, Sugar Rush. Their quest takes them to the vast, uncharted world of the internet where they rely on the citizens of the internet "the Netizens" to help navigate their way. Lending a virtual hand are Yesss, the head algorithm and the heart and soul of the trend-making site "BuzzzTube," and Shank, a tough-as-nails driver from a gritty online auto-racing game called Slaughter Race, a place Vanellope wholeheartedly embraces - so much so that Ralph worries he may lose the only friend he's ever had.
