Sony were so confident in the quality of Spider-Man: Into The Spider-Verse that, before the film even went public, they announced that they've got multiple sequels in the works. Their confidence was evidently warranted as the first reactions to the upcoming animated film have now arrived on social media.
The below tweets label the film the best animated film of the year, the best film of the year, the best comic-book-movie of the year, the best Spider-Man movie thus far, and one of the best superhero movies ever. That is infinitely positive praise to say the least. There's not a negative review in the bunch, the early reactions are totally unanimous.
The film has humour, heart, and incredible visuals courtesy of, The LEGO Movie and 21 Jump Street directors, Phil Lord and Christopher Miller - as well as directors Peter Ramsey, Robert Persichetti Jr., and Rodney Rothman.
