Well, it doesn't seem like Disney plans on stopping live-action remakes of their animated classics, and with the list growing longer and longer, it becomes a bit hard to track which films actually have dates, and that's what we're here for.
In addition to the films that don't have dates yet, such as Pinnochio, The Sword in the Stone, Tinkerbell, Peter Pan, and Rose Red, there are five live-action Disney classic remakes which already have dates, casts, and directors attached to them. ALADDIN
Premieres May 24, 2019, featuring Naomi Scott, Mena Massoud, and Will Smith. Directed by Guy Ritchie.
THE LION KING
Premieres July 19, 2019, featuring Donald Glover, Seth Rogen, Billy Eichner, Chiwetel Ejiofor, Keegan-Michael Key, Beyonce Knowles-Carter, and James Earl Jones, the original Mufasa. Directed by Jon Favreau.
MALEFICENT: MISTRESS OF EVIL
Premieres October 18, 2019, featuring Angelina Jolie and Elle Fanning. Directed by Joaquim Ronning.
LADY AND THE TRAMP
Premieres November 12, 2019 on Disney+. Featuring Justin Theroux, Tessa Thomspon, Sam Elliot, Benedict Wong, and Yvette Nicole Brown. Directed by Charlie Bean
MULAN
Premieres March 27, 2020, featuring Liu Yifei, Jet Li, Donnie Yen, Gong Li, and Xana Tang. Directed by Niki Caro.
CRUELLA
Premieres December 23, 2020, featuring Emma Stone with Emma Thompson in talks to join her. Directed by Craig Gillespe.
