Walt Disney Animation Studios' next original film is officially a little over a month away. Tickets for Hexed are now on sale, and Disney celebrated with a new exclusive poster from Fandango featuring Billie Doe and the strange creatures of the witch realm.
Disney Animation shared the poster on Tuesday:
A Storybook Look At Hexe
The Fandango poster takes a more illustrated, storybook approach than the studio's earlier marketing. Billie, with her long magenta braid and flowing red cloak, floats at the center of a swirling scene framed by twisting branches. Alice stirs a glowing cauldron behind her, while the green, three-eyed Beef Roger Crummchuk lounges in a moonlit circle beside a towering castle, with witches on broomsticks flying overhead. Cats, an owl, a feather quill and a magical journal fill the branches above, giving the whole thing the feel of a classic fantasy book cover.
Disney also rolled out several premium format posters alongside the ticket launch, with dedicated pieces for Dolby Cinema, 4DX and RealD 3D. The 4DX art has Billie leaping in front of a giant full moon as Beef Roger bursts out of a bubbling cauldron. The RealD 3D version gives Billie a purple witch hood and a pair of 3D glasses, with a matching pair on Beef Roger, and the Dolby Cinema poster has Billie casting a spell toward Beef Roger as he relaxes with a cocktail inside the Dolby logo.
A New Song From Hailee Steinfeld
The ticket launch came with another treat for fans. Disney Animation also announced that Hailee Steinfeld, who voices Billie, has a new song called "Magic" that will be released this Friday (October 23rd). The song will be featured in the film.
Steinfeld has plenty of music experience on top of her acting career, and fans of the Spider-Verse films will also recognize her as the voice of Spider-Gwen.
What Hexed Is About
Hexed follows Billie Doe, an impulsive and unconventional 16-year-old who has never understood why her mother, Alice, is so overprotective. When Billie discovers she has secret magical abilities, she is hurtled out of suburbia and into Hexe, a vast realm of witches. Alice, who turns out to have been suppressing her daughter's powers since childhood, follows her there, and the two are forced to team up as they uncover family mysteries that could change the world of witches forever.

Behind The Scenes
Hexed is directed by Fawn Veerasunthorn and Jason Hand, with Josie Trinidad co-directing. Roy Conli and Yvett Merino produce, and the script comes from Walt Disney Animation Studios Chief Creative Officer Jared Bush and Dana Ledoux Miller. Bush, who co-directed Zootopia and Encanto, has said the film "wanted to be a mother-daughter story," with the relationship between Billie and Alice as its "North Star."
Hexed opens in theaters in the US next month (November 25th), just ahead of Thanksgiving, with UK audiences getting it two days later.
