Enchanted released back in 2007 and starred Amy Adams, Patrick Dempsey, and James Marsden. It saw a princess named Giselle brought from the magical world of a fantasy fairy tale into the dingy real one. It was essentially a live-action version of a classic Disney princess tale. Given the current surge of live-action remakes of Disney's classic animated films; it's safe to say that
Enchanted was ahead of its time.
Fans of the live-action film have been clamouring for a sequel for twelve years now. Alan Menken, the composer of many classic Disney films as well as
Enchanted, confirmed that a sequel was indeed in the works back in March. Now, the Editor-in-Chief of the reputable
TheDisInsider, Skyler Shuler has taken to Twitter to reveal that development of the sequel is moving forward.
Shuler mentioned that we should expect an official update on the coming sequel sometime soon. He also revealed a logo for the film which is apparently going to be titled:
Disenchanted. We can only presume and hope that the original cast will reprise their roles all this time later. Amy Adams did mentioned last year that she would be up for returning - find out more on that
here.
