While many Halloween fans were disappointed to learn "It's The Great Pumpkin, Charlie Brown" would be gated behind Apple TV+'s paywall, CBS is ensuring everyone can enjoy the holiday season this year. Numerous holiday classics, including Frosty The Snowman and Rudolph The Red-Nosed Reindeer, will be airing on CBS this year, bringing Christmas cheer for all to hear!
Frosty The Snowman will kick off the holiday season when on Friday, November 27. You can catch the musical Christmas legend about the jolly, happy soul and his old silk hat full of magic at 8:00 p.m. ET/PT. His story will continue immediately after when Frosty Returns airs that same evening at 8:30 p.m. ET/PT.
On Saturday, November 28, at 8:00 p.m. ET, you can catch Robbie The Reindeer: Hooves of Fire. In this animated special, Robbie (voiced by Ben Stiller) competes in the Reindeer Races to become a member of Santa's sleigh team. The legendary Jim Belushi is the voice of Santa. Robbie will return for a second story, Robbie The Reindeer: Legend of the Lost Tribe, that same night at 8:30 p.m. ET/PT. In this follow-up, Robbie (Stiller) battles Blitzen (Hugh Grant) in an effort to stop his nemesis's launch of a reindeer theme park. This animated special features the star power of Britney Spears, James Woods, Leah Remini and Jerry Stiller.
The Story of Santa Claus will wrap up the evening, airing from 9-10 p.m. ET/PT on November 28. This heartwarming animated film, which first debuted in 1996, revolves around a gentle toymaker (voiced by Ed Asner) whose wish is to deliver a toy to every child on Christmas. Betty White voices Gretchen Claus while Tim Curry voices Nostros.
Turning the calendar page to December, the legendary Rudolph the Red-Nosed Reindeer will air for the 56th consecutive year. This stop-motion animated classic recounts the tale of the popular Johnny Marks song of the same name. While most of us are familiar with the story of Rudolph and his shiny red nose, there's something about Burl Ives narrating the tale as Sam the Snowman that creates that warm and fuzzy holiday feeling.
