Back in July, the
Sesame Street movie was delayed. Originally to release in January 2021, the film's release date was moved to June 4th, 2021. However, now the film's release date has been delayed once again.
Anne Hathaway will star in the
Sesame Street movie, Jonathan Krisel (
Portlandia) will direct. The film will be produced by
Stranger Things showrunner Shawn Levy and Michael Aguilar. Mike Rosolio and Chris Galleta have penned drafts of the screenplay. Comedian and director Bo Burnham will write original songs for the
Sesame Street film.
Recently, it was uncovered that the
Sesame Street movie had once again been delayed. The film is now set to arrive in theatres on January 14th, 2022. No reasoning for this delay has been divulged, though, many assume it's similar to the prior delay in that it's caused by scheduling conflicts with Hathaway.
