Marvel Studios has announced that I Am Groot, their upcoming series of original shorts, will launch exclusively on Disney+ on Wednesday, August 10.
The show will send us on a whirlwind of an adventure as we follow Baby Groot, presumably voiced by Vin Diesel (Fast X; Guardians of the Galaxy), as he lands himself into all kinds of trouble while growing up aboard the Milano with his Guardians family.
There aren't many other details at this time, but since the animated series will take place between the events of Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 2 and Avengers: Infinity War, there's a decent chance we could see some familiar faces pop in throughout the course of the show's run.
Kirsten Lepore helmed the series, with Ryan Little serving as showrunner. Kevin Feige and James Gunn are attached as executive producers, so there's always a chance the series might potentially have ties to the upcoming Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 3.
