A third clip from The Little Mermaid is now online, and this time we get to hear a little sample of Sebastian the crab (Daveed Diggs) singing arguably the most iconic song from the animated classic, "Under the Sea."

If you've seen the original you won't need any context, but Ariel (Halle Bailey) has set her mind on visiting the "above world," and Seb is determined to stop her, singing a tune about why "life's so much better down where it's wetter."

The first social media reactions for the movie hit late last night, and while some seem to feel it's the best Disney live-action remake yet, others were a lot less impressed. Overall, we'd say a divisive critical reaction looms.

Check out the latest clip below, and let us know what you think.

The Little Mermaid is the beloved story of Ariel, a beautiful and spirited young mermaid with a thirst for adventure. The youngest of King Triton’s daughters, and the most defiant, Ariel longs to find out more about the world beyond the sea, and while visiting the surface, falls for the dashing Prince Eric.

While mermaids are forbidden to interact with humans, Ariel must follow her heart. She makes a deal with the evil sea witch, Ursula, which gives her a chance to experience life on land, but ultimately places her life – and her father’s crown – in jeopardy.

The movie is set to swim into theaters on May 26, 2023.

It looks so lifeless.

The original introduced such a variety if fish & characters in every moment of that song. Things were moving and bouncing. Here, a single crab hitches a ride on a single seahorse while a woman pretends to look around.

The wide open ocean reinforces the sense this place is empty; but in an unfinished indie game kind of way.

@MG0019 - All these songs start off the same.. the clip ends with her swimming away and not convinced.. i'm sure Disney blew their load on cgi for the rest of the song.
