Last month, a rumour emerged that a follow-up to Star Wars Rebels is in the works at Disney. The animated series debuted in October 2014 and concluded in March 2018. It ended on somewhat of a cliffhanger — what with Ezra missing and Sabine and Ahsoka seeming to venture out in search of him.

It's said that this sequel series will focus on the two fan-favourite, female characters. Dave Filoni (Star Wars: The Clone Wars and The Mandalorian) is also reportedly involved. It's presumed that this series will take place following the events of Star Wars: Episode VI — Return of the Jedi as that's the era in which Star Wars Rebels concluded.

More recently, Noah Outlaw (@OutlawNoah) of Kessel Run Transmissions reported that the Star Wars Rebels sequel series will debut in Winter 2020 — check out that report here. However, he has now been able to wittle down the release window even more to simply the month of November.

It's also worth mentioning that Noah Outlaw of Kessel Run Transmissions isn't the only insider purporting that a follow-up to Star Wars Rebels is in the works. For instance, Jeremy Conrad of Star Wars Unity has corroborated this information.
