Star Wars Rebels began in October 2014 as somewhat of a follow-up to
Star Wars: The Clone Wars. The animated series took place between
Star Wars: Epsiode III — Revenge of the Sith and
Star Wars: Episode IV — A New Hope. It concluded in March of 2018. However, it seems that a revival of sorts might be on the cards.
Star Wars: The Clone Wars concluded in 2014 but will be returning on Disney's new streaming service in just a month's time. According to a new report by
Kessel Run Transmissions,
Star Wars Rebels is also set for a comeback on Disney+.
It's said that a follow-up series is in active development at Disney and Lucasfilm. Ahsoka Tano and Sabine Wren will supposedly be at the centre.
Writer and creative Dave Filoni, who previously worked on
Star Wars: The Clone Wars,
Star Wars Rebels, and
The Mandalorian, is also involved but not in the supervisory way that he was with the aforementioned animated series.
