Last month, reports surfaced which claimed that Ahsoka Tano will make her live-action debut in the second season of Disney+ series The Mandalorian. She's a fan-favourite character who's essentially the main character of Star Wars: The Clone Wars. It's said that Rosario Dawson will play her in live-action — more on that here.
However, Ahsoka isn't the only Star Wars: The Clone Wars main character who will reportedly feature in the second season of The Mandalorian. Earlier this week, it was reported by THR (via ComicBookMovie.com) that the second season will feature Temuera Morrison as Boba Fett. Well, it seems that the bounty hunter won't be the only character Morrison's playing in the upcoming season.
You see, Temuera Morrison originally featured in Star Wars: Episode II — Attack of the Clones as Jango Fett. That's the saga instalment which introduced an army of clones based on Jango Fett. Boba Fett is a clone of his father just as Captain Rex and every other clone in Star Wars: The Clone Wars is. Therefore, it makes sense that they would look identical — like Morrison.
So, the cat's out of the bag. Following THR's aforementioned report, both insider Jordan Maison and Nerdist seemed to independently suggest that Morrison will also be playing Captain Rex in the second season of The Mandalorian.
