ThunderCats Roar was announced back in 2018 as an animated reboot of the similarly titled, iconic cartoon series from the 1980s. As the art style of the modern adaptation was more cutesy and the reboot as a whole was more comedic than the original version, backlash commenced. Many petitioned for the series to be outright cancelled, etc.

According to the official Teen Titans GO! Wiki, an upcoming episode of the DC Comics animated series will parody the aforementioned controversy. The episode will be one of the fifth season and a release date hasn't yet been announced. However, we do have both its synopsis and name — that being "Teen Titans Roar."

"The Titans are outraged when their favorite cartoon is rebooted, so they come up with a plan to get this new show off the air,"
reads the synopsis. Those behind Teen Titans GO! could likely empaphise with the creators of ThunderCats Roar as the DC Comics animated series is quite similar in that it's a more cutesy version of a previous cartoon series — which initially garnered it a bad name.

The episode in question will seemingly debut alongside the premiere episode of ThuderCats Roar and feature references to ThunderCats characters — such as Lion-O, Mumm-Ra, and Tygra.
