This may come as a surprise to anyone who has been watching The Boys on Amazon, but the forthcoming animated series, The Boys: Diabolical, gets even more outrageous (and that includes language, so beware), as evidenced by the just-released trailer.
Information on the individual episodes has been issued as well:
Episode 1: "Laser Baby's Day Out" — Written by Evan Goldberg & Seth Rogan, directed by Crystal Chesney-Thompson and Derek Thompson, with an animation style that's been inspired by classic American animation shorts.
Episode 2: "An Animated Short Where Pissed-Off Supes Kill Their Parents" —Written by Justin Rolland & Ben Bayouth, directed by Parker Simmons with an animation style inspired by Justin Rolland's aesthetic.
Episode 3: "I'm Your Pusher" — Written by Garth Ennis (who co-created The Boys with Darick Robertson), directed by Giancarlo Volpe with an animation style serving as an homage to the original The Boys comics.
Episode 4: "Boyd in 3D" — Written by Eliot Glazer, story by Eliot Glazer & Ilana Glazer, directed by Naz Ghosrati-Azadi with an animation style inspired by French comics and animation.
Episode 5: "BFFs" — Written by Awkwafina, directed by Madeleine Flores with an animation style inspired by Saturday morning animation imports.
Episode 6: "Nubian vs. Nubian" — Written by Aisha Taylor, directed by Matthew Bordenave with an animation style that is anime inspired.
Episode 7: "John and Sun-Hee" — Written by Andy Samberg, directed by Steve Ahn with an animation style inspired by Korean drama and horror.
Episode 8: "One Plus One Equals Two" — Written by Simon Racioppa, directed by Jae Kim and Giancarlo Volpe with an animation style that's a darker take on American superhero animation.
All episodes will be available for streaming on Amazon beginning March 4.
