RICK AND MORTY'S Don't Even Trip Tour Finishes Up Midwestern Leg, Rickmobile Headed South!

The Rick and Morty Rickmobile merch truck stopped in my town this weekend and I got a chance to do a quick interview with the workers and hear their plans and get some photos. Check it out!

Although I consider myself a huge Rick and Morty fanatic, (and Dan Harmon in general, though a suitable story for another unrelated article), I was certainly taken by surprise when my field team woke me up on Sunday to tell me that the Rickmobile was in our city. Obviously confused by the fact that something interesting had found it's way to Toledo, but more-so by the new word that had now entered my vocabulary and taken hold of my attention. "Rickmobile." For reference, this Rickmobile is pictured below, along with myself and my field assistant Kevin Lynch, with all photo credit to Joshua Vargas-Lloyd.

So, now that you see it, obviously it looks cool but that was also never in question, was it? Could a vehicle with a name like Rickmobile based around the wackiness of a show like Rick and Morty hold any chance of not being cool? At any rate, you're probably wondering what the actual purpose is of the vehicle, and that answer is obvious. Exclusive Rick and Morty merchandise, what else?! That's right, this Rickmobile is essentially a party on wheels that is on a tour across America to bring fans both a fun time and cool things to buy. Check out the following gallery of exclusive merch!

Here you can see a number of the Dont Even Trip Road Trip Staff Members in a tent specifically for clothing. There are shirts specifically made for the tour as you can see, but if you look, there are also others related to specific episodes. For instance, there is a shirt with the directions of how to construct a plumbus and another with all of the parasites posing as family members, while another looks to be covered with nothing but Pensylvesters all over it (not that that's a bad thing in any way).

Here we see more staff members alongside the actual Rickmobile itself, which you can tell by Rick's backside hanging over the top opposite where his oversized head is in the back. The side of the truck pops up to reveal the exclusive merchandise inside, and on the door of the vehicle you'll notice the Rick and Morty logo anlong with the web address rickmobile.com.

As you can see, there are interesting pieces of artwork you can purchase, masks of Morties and a wide variety of Ricks. It's interesting to see the amount of detail put into them, giving the Rick masks different hairstyles recognizable to fans from the show's own Council of Ricks. The action figures are actually quite interesting themselves, as the five of them - Rick, Morty, Mr. Meseeks, Birdperson, and Mr. Poopy Butthole - all come with a piece to assemble a Snowball Build a figure, with these five building the entirety of the figure.

The Rick and Morty Don't Even Trip Tour Staff Member who I spoke with is named Jayla, and she is pictured here, helping a young fan while surrounded by a number of pieces of smaller merchandise, including Rick plushes, Pop Vinyls, pins, and a larger Morty mask. As things cooled down around five o clock, (that's when they "close"), I managed to ask a few questions and Jayla was happy to give me some information on the tour.

We have been on tour since early May, because we were getting ready for this in April. We go around to different cities and we have fun and sell merchandise like this, and we're almost done with our midwestern tour now. We have a few more stops yet ahead of us that we still have to make in Ohio and in this are but then we are going to be headed South. The tour isn't done until October but the good thing is the plan is to do this every year. So every Summer we will be going around on the same tour. This is my first one but I think it's going to be great.

People flocked to spend money at the truck, and people came simply to see the festivities. There were also food trucks that set up in the same parking lot because of how big the crowd was. Before are just a few more pictures of things on site.

As you can see, it was a great time all around, and the tour continues on until October 25th. Make sure to click the source link to check the dates to see if you'll be on of the lucky cities left on the list! And let us know which of this merchandise interests you the most!
