During tonights Emmy Awards presentation the irreverent, animated grandfather-grandson duo made a surprise appearance.

Rick and Morty, as you'd expect, arrived on-stage via their trademarked green wormhole. Morty makes it clear why the pair are the best suited to present the award for "Outstanding Reality-Competition", while Rick shames the award winners for their apparent disregard for exotic wildlife. All in all, it went down quite well, as one Twitter user put it: It was a lot less cringey than expected.

Check out Rick and Morty's Emmy presentation below:

The "Outstanding Animated Program" Emmy award was recently given to the hilarious animated show for its infamous "Pickle Rick" episode. It beat the following animated shows: Bob's BurgersBig Hero 6: The SeriesSouth Park, and The Simpsons

What do you think of their Emmy presentation? Do you think the Season 3 episode "Pickle Rick" is deserving of its praise?
