Next year,
Marvel's Spider-Man will return for its third season on Disney XD and at D23 this past weekend, guests were treated to a sneak peek at what's to come. As previously revealed, season three of the animated series will be titled
Marvel's Spider-Man: Maximum Venom, essentially confirming the symbiote will play a huge factor in the new season.
A new teaser the
Maximum Venom was released, depicting some of Marvel's biggest heroes infected with the symbiote. The 20-second teaser shows Spider-Man, Hulk, Iron-Man, and Captain America all venomized before pulling back and revealing even more heroes monstrously transformed by the symbiote.
While Peter Parker has faced some pretty tough foes in the first two seasons of
Marvel's Spider-Man, it's looking like season three will present his toughest battle yet.
Peter Parker has been Spider-Man for two (not exactly smooth) years. He’s faced many super heroic and personal challenges while managing to keep New York safe. Now going into his third year at the prestigious Horizon High, Peter is confident he can handle anything that comes his way but even he can’t imagine what’s next. Venom will summon an earth-shattering threat from its home planet that will push Spider-Man to his very breaking point in a battle with global stakes.
Marvel's Spider-Man: Maximum Venom will premiere on Disney XD in April 2020. The remainder of season two — including a five-part "Superior Spider-Man" story arc — is now airing.
