Many of us might not have known this, but Cartoon Network and POGO have partnered to create a School Contact Program, and the plan is to reach over 1 million children across 10 cities in India alone.
It is viewed as one of India’s largest school outreach programs, and for good reasons. You see, this initiative will be delivered to over 1100 schools, which is how the 1 million outreach will be accomplished.
Here’s the thing, this School Contact Program is a fun-filled experience for children, and Cartoon Network’s ‘Masti ki Recess’ and POGO’s ‘Fun Bhi Fit Bhi’ theme are set to play a major role.
During breaks, children will have the chance to tune into the likes of Ben 10, Kris from Roll No 21, Oggy from Oggy and Cockroaches, and We Bare Bears. Not only that, they’ll be able to take part in interactive video games among other things.
When it comes down to what POGO brings to the table, we understand the plan is to deliver Tik Tak Tail, Grizzly, Bheem, and much more. All these fun characters will spread positivity such as eating healthy, being mentality alert, and being agile.
“We, at Turner India, are thrilled to kickstart the 13th year of our annual property, the School Contact Programme. With each year we have seen the programme attract more schools with tremendous participation from students across the country. In line with our fan-first strategy, we aim to connect with our little fans beyond the television world through new themes and more interactive elements for this edition. We are confident of providing them with a newer, more immersive experience and an opportunity to interact with their favorite toons,” according to Krishna Desai, the executive director, and network head-kids, South Asia.
