Season One of What If...? was among the first Marvel Studios TV shows to premiere on Disney+ in 2021 and, based on comments the creative team made at the time, the plan had been for season 2 to follow in 2022.
Now, with 2023 very nearly over, it was finally revealed that the long-awaited follow-up to the animated series will arrive on Disney+ "This Holiday Season." Rumours are swirling that a trailer is going to drop imminently, but in the meantime, The Cosmic Circus has today chimed in to reveal exactly when the show will premiere on the streaming platform.
Apparently, it's heading our way on December 22, with new episodes dropping daily between then and December 30. This is a stark contrast to the first batch of episodes which were released weekly after a three-episode premiere.
The site also teases that, "this season will have a far bigger impact on the 616 timeline."
This is all the information we have right now, but Disney recently shared a brief synopsis confirming we'll hear the voices of even more MCU stars.

Earlier this Fall, a supposed list of What If...? season 2 episode titles was revealed. Since then, an updated order has surfaced which appears to confirm what we'll be getting on a daily basis from Marvel Studios next month.

• What If... Iron Man Crashed into the Grandmaster?

• What If... Strange Supreme Intervened?
The belief is that Marvel Studios has plans for three seasons of What If...?, not to mention a spin-off in Marvel Zombies. That was announced at last year's San Diego Comic-Con, but like all of the MCU's animated offerings (including Spider-Man: Freshman Year and X-Men '97), we still have no confirmed premiere dates.
