Will Spider-Man show up in Invincible season 2? The storyline the show is adapting in its upcoming sophomore season lines up perfectly with where the Spider-Man crossover happened in the comics, leading to a lot of speculation among fans of the Image Comic series that Marvel's beloved wall-crawler might actually be making an appearance.

Speaking to The Hollywood Handle, Invincible showrunner Simon Racioppa gave an incredibly vague answer when asked about the possibility.

"I’d love to have crossovers with all, with DC, with Marvel, with all these other characters," stated Racioppa.

He continued,  "I mean… in our show you gotta have to wait and see if that’s a thing that can happen or not. I’d love that to happen, you know, is very tricky nowadays, for Marvel they sometimes license their characters to other studios. So crossing over in television is way harder than it is in comic books.

Invincible met Spider-Man and The Avengers in 2006's Marvel Team-Up #14 with Invincible #33 serving as a tie-in issue.

Series creator Robert Kirkman previously stated, "Angstrom Levy will be a new villain that comes into the series [in season 2]. And if you’ve read the comics, you’re aware of who he is and what his deal is. He’s a villain that has access to multiple dimensions, and so it’s another one of those dang multiverse things.”

Additionally, in a series of promos leading up to the release of season 2's first trailer, eagle-eyed fans spotted Invincible reading what appeared to be Marvel Team-Up #14 on his cell phone.

Prime Video will release Invincible season 2 on November 3. Four episodes will drop weekly, culminating on November 24. The second season will be split, with the remaining four episodes of season 2 premiering in 2024.

Amazon previously confirmed that voice recordings for season 3 are already complete, ensuring that the wait between seasons will be much shorter, moving forward.

Based on the groundbreaking comic book by Robert Kirkman, Cory Walker, and Ryan Ottley, the story revolves around 18-year-old Mark Grayson, who’s just like every other guy his age—except his father is (or was) the most powerful superhero on the planet. Still reeling from Nolan’s betrayal in Season 1, Mark struggles to rebuild his life as he faces a host of new threats, all while battling his greatest fear - that he might become his father without even knowing it.

Starring Steven Yeun, with Sandra Oh, Zazie Beetz, Grey DeLisle, Chris Diamantopoulos, Walton Goggins, Gillian Jacobs, Jason Mantzoukas, Ross Marquand, Khary Payton, Zachary Quinto, Andrew Rannells, Kevin Michael Richardson, Seth Rogen, and J.K. Simmons.

Joining the Season 2 cast are Sterling K. Brown, Peter Cullen, Rob Delaney, Calista Flockhart, Phil LaMarr, Luke MacFarlane, Tatiana Maslany, Scott McNairy, Jay Pharoah, Ella Purnell, Tim Robinson, Ben Schwartz, Rhea Seehorn, Lea Thompson, Paul F. Tompkins, Shantel VanSanten, and more.

The executive producers are Kirkman, Catherine Winder, David Alpert, Simon Racioppa, Margaret M. Dean, Rogen, and Evan Goldberg, and the co-executive producers are Helen Leigh and Walker.
