Disney+ Day is coming soon and it seems like the Mouse House is coming up with some stuff to drop around the day to really make the most of the celebration. It seems as part of its plan, a new series is set to debut on the day, according to the Cars official Twitter.

Titled Cars on the Road, the series sees everyone's favorite racer, Lightning McQueen, and his best tow-truck friend, Mater, going on a trip across the country to meet with Mater's sister for her wedding. Each episode is going to be a mini-adventure for the two complete with "twists and turns."

From what little we saw from the trailer posted Monday, each episode will include everything from dinosaurs, ghost cars, Mad Max-esque car gangs, and more for the duo to encounter. The series will consist of only nine episodes without any indication of each episode's length.

Cars on the Road will see Lamp Life's Marc Sondheimer as its producer. Cars story artist, Steve Purcell, Cars 3 director, Brian Fee, and Soul animation superviser, Bobby Podesta, will also take up producer roles. The music will be keeping the same composer, Jake Monaco, who has a long history with Disney, including producing the score for Frozen. As for casting, both Owen Wilson and Larry the Cable Guy are returning to their respective roles.

Cars on the Road launches on September 8.
