Hopefully there were treats on hand at the screening of Paw Patrol: The Mighty Movie this weekend as 219 dogs showed up in attendance to celebrate the early viewing event. This allowed them to overthrow the previous holder of the Guinness Book of World Records title for Most Dogs Attending a Film Screening, snuffing out the measly original 199 viewers.
While this may seem silly, it was a serious matter as Michael Empric, an official adjudicator of the Guinness Book of World Records presented the certificate on Sunday at the screening at Autry Museum in Griffith Park and seeing the animals himself. While attending the Nickelodeon screening, Empric seized the opportunity to promote pet adoption alongside the movie when presenting the award.
Hundreds of dogs of all sizes gathered to see the superpower-based Paw Patrol film, The Mighty Movie and humans have their opportunity to do so this weekend when the animated animal flick lands in theaters. In the meantime, enjoy the included imagery of the pups in attendance.

LOS ANGELES, September 24, 2023 – Two paws up for PAW Patrol: The Mighty Movie breaking the GUINNESS WORLD RECORDS official title for Most Dogs Attending a Film Screening in honor of its release, only in theatres on September 29th, 2023.
Families and their furry friends came together to break the record for “Most Dogs Attending A Film Screening,” with 219 dogs watching a special early screening of PAW Patrol: The Mighty Movie at Autry Museum in Griffith Park today. The “paw-dience” included pups of all shapes and sizes, like tiny breeds, big breeds, and lovable mutts. An official adjudicator from GUINNESS WORLD RECORDS, Michael Empric, was on hand to present the official certificate, recognizing the record-setting audience and overtaking the previous record set in October 2022 with 199 dogs.
