Transformers: War for Cybertron Trilogy: Siege is an upcoming animated series based on the popular toyline and cartoon series from the 1980s. Netflix recently made it clear that the streaming service will soon be getting a lot more anime content. Here's an instance of that.
Transformers: War for Cybertron Trilogy: Siege is a joint production effort by Netflix, Hasbro, and Rooster Teeth. Rooster Teeth are known for such CG anime series as
RWBY and
gen:LOCK. FJ DeSanto serves as showrunner. The trilogy is written by George Krstic (
Megas XLR), Gavin Hignight (
Transformers: Cyberverse) and Brandon Easton (
Transformers: Rescue Bots).
While we currently don't know exactly when
Transformers: War for Cybertron Trilogy: Siege will see the light of day; an official trailer for the upcoming animated series was recently released at New York Toy Fair 2020. The trailers shows off a bunch of exciting, action-packed moments as well as the classic G1 character designs.
Along with the official trailer came a synopsis — which goes as follows:
"In the midst of ongoing war on Cybertron, forces of good and evil clash as they search for the source of their power: the Allspark. This may not be the life they imagined, but it's a life worth fighting for. Transformers: War For Cybertron Trilogy: Siege is coming soon, only on Netflix."
