Ghost in the Shell: SAC_2045 is an upcoming animated series produced by Netflix and directed by both Shinji Aramaki (
Appleseed) and Kenji Kamiyama (
Ghost in the Shell: Stand Alone). The character designs are by Ilya Kuvshinov.
It's a part of the streaming service's new anime banner just like
Transformers: War for Cybertron Trilogy: Siege —

It's adaptation of the iconic manga by Shirow Masamune — of which 1995 anime film
Ghost in the Shell is also based on. The anime series will debut on Netflix in April 2020 but an precise release date hasn't yet been disclosed. Nonetheless, Netflix has released some new stills from
Ghost in the Shell: SAC_2045.
