Transformers: War for Cybertron Trilogy: Siege was revealed earlier this week during New York Toy Fair 2020 with an exciting, official trailer. It's the first of three
Transformers: War for Cybertron arcs that will be coming to Netflix as a part of its new anime banner. The second arc will be called "Earthrise," while the third's title is currently unknown.
The upcoming animated series involves Hasbro, Netflix, Rooster Teeth, and Polygon Pictures. Rooster Teeth, best known for
RWBY and
gen:LOCK, produces while Polygon Pictures handles the actual animation.
Transformers: War for Cybertron Trilogy: Siege will consist of six episodes, each of about 22-minute length.
It's said that the series will debut in 2020 but a precise release date has not yet been disclosed. However, the full voice cast was recently revealed. Interestingly, neither Peter Cullen nor Frank Welker are present amongst the cast — the pair who usually serve as the voices of Optimus Prime and Megatron respectively.
Instead, the cast features similar voice talent to that of
Transformers: Combiner Wars and
Transformers: Cyberverse. It will be interesting to see how audiences will react to the new blood as opposed to the old guard. Check out the full voice cast below (via

TRANSFORMERS: WAR FOR CYBERTRON TRILOGY: SIEGE begins in the final hours of the devastating civil war between the Autobots and Decepticons. The war that has torn apart their home planet of Cybertron is at a tipping point. Two leaders, Optimus Prime and Megatron, both want to save their world and unify their people, but only on their own terms. In an attempt to end the conflict, Megatron is forced to consider using the Allspark, the source of all life and power on Cybertron, to “reformat” the Autobots, thus “unifying” Cybertron. Outnumbered, outgunned, and under SIEGE, the battle-weary Autobots orchestrate a desperate series of counterstrikes on a mission that, if everything somehow goes right, will end with an unthinkable choice: kill their planet in order to save it.
Transformers: War for Cybertron Trilogy: Siege comes to Netflix in 2020.
