Based on the iconic Japanese manga series from the 1980s, which also inspired the iconic 1995 anime movie, Ghost in the Shell: SAC_2045 is an upcoming Netflix animated series.
Coming to the streaming service on April 23rd (just two days from now), it's directed by Shinji Aramaki and Kenji Kamiyama. This will mark the first time the Ghost in the Shell series will be portrayed using 3D CGI and even motion-capture technology.
Ahead of the fast-approaching release of the series, in just a couple of days, Netflix has released an official clip on their YouTube channel which sees Major become digitised. You can check that out below — along with the official trailer for the series.
What's more, the official NX on Netflix Twitter account has shared some awesome character posters which show off the unique character designs by Ilya Kuvshinov. The new, official posters respectively feature Major Motoko Kusanagi, Batou, Purin Ezaki, and a Tachikoma. You can check them out below:
