From the mind of Guillermo Del Toro and with the help of Dreamworks animation, the Tales of Arcadia trilogy is about to unleash the final part of the epic trilogy. Following the previous two parts, Trollhunters and 3Below, the new series titled Wizards will see the show's heroes displaced in time during the age of Arthurian legend.
While fans of the series could pick up on the inspirations, creators of the show have cited the series' inspirations as Bill and Ted, Dungeons and Dragons, Back to the Future, Locke and Key, and even The Magicians! With all of those genre influences, there can be some balance challenges, but luckily the team working on the show has created something that truly stands on its own.
One of the significant differences coming out of the new series is that, where the previous parts of the show featured multiple seasons, Tales of Arcadia: Wizards will only have ten episodes to tie everything up. This means that each episode of the ten-part show will be a can't miss event because it all comes down to this final series.
Recently, a new trailer was released for the upcoming series, which showcases some of the voice talents of Colin O'Donoghue, Steven Yeun, Stephanie Beatriz, Alfred Molina, Mark Hamill, Clancy Brown, Emile Hirsch, and Kelsey Grammer to name a few. Check it out below and make sure to share your thoughts in the comments!
Following Trollhunters and the second series 3Below, Wizards marks the final chapter in the trilogy that brings together the three disparate worlds of trolls, aliens and wizards. In the newest installment, wizard-in-training Douxie (Colin O’Donoghue) and the heroes of Arcadia embark on a time-bending adventure to medieval Camelot that leads to an apocalyptic battle for the control of magic that will determine the fate of these supernatural worlds that have now converged.
Tales of Arcadia: Wizards will be premiering on Netflix, August 7th!
