Netflix's
Castlevania animated series is based on the video game series of the same name by Konami — specifically 1989's
Castlevania III: Dracula's Curse. The first two seasons followed Trevor Belmont, Alucard, and Sypha Belnades as the defended the nation of Wallachia from Dracula and his minions.
Fans of the series have had to wait almost a year and a half for the third season as the second debuted back in October 2018 — and the first back in July 2017. The upcoming third season will debut on Netflix on March 5th and consist of ten total episodes.
Thankfully, Netflix hasn't only shared a release date but also an official trailer and synopsis — both of which you can check out below. The former is particularly epic and action-packed while the latter is brief but certainly enough to get fans excited for Season 3.
Synopsis (via
Gamefragger):
"Belmont and Sypha settle into a village with sinister secrets, Alucard mentors a pair of admirers, and Isaac embarks on a quest to locate Hector."
