Netflix isn't letting Brutus Pink go without a fight and the same can seemingly be said the other way around. The two have extended their partnership for another three years, meaning the company will be locked in to make more Netflix TV shows and features in the future.
As reported by Cartoon Brew, the deal will expire at the end of 2026 and will expect the contractor to develop and produce new exclusive content for the streamer. Unlike before, though, it seems Brutus Pink will be able to dabble into the feature animation field with both animated films and TV shows up in the air. This could be a great thing for the company, though, it's also possible this just means they may have feature films around its exisiting property, Big Mouth, rather than experiment with something new.
Speaking of, Big Mouth is a big deal to Netflix as it's become a powerhouse for the streamer's animation world. Not only is it award-winning, but it's also found a large following and is going on six seasons strong, something some series can only dream to accomplish.
Meanwhile its spin-off series, Human Resources, is returning for a second season sometime next year.
The extension to their partnership comes not long after a fair bit of heat is getting put against Netflix as animation seems to be getting put on the wayside. The company's head of adult animation, Mike Moon, left out of the blue, according to Deadline, though it's said to not be related to Netflix Animation's recent leadership shake-ups and more noticiable focus on specific demographics.
