In 2006, the Chiodo Bros. launched a picture book for children titled Alien Xmas. In the story, the reader follows an alien during the Christmas holiday, and we see some of the things that he experiences.

With Netflix putting so much focus on the animated arena lately, this story was one of the ones that were going to be adapted to release on the platform! For some time, no news had been given on the project, but now, a new trailer has been released!

The short video shows a curious alien named X and tells the story of how he saves Christmas from an invading force of his own species. The special is being directed and produced by the Chiodo Bros. and looks to have as much heart as their original story.

There is still so much left to learn before its release, but the entirely stop-motion animated special looks to harken back to the specials that came out years ago, like Rudolf the Red-Nosed Reindeer. Make sure to check out the teaser below, and don't forget to share your thoughts in the comments!

When a race of kleptomaniac aliens attempts to steal Earth’s gravity in order to more easily take everything on the planet, only the gift-giving spirit of Christmas and a small alien named X can save the world.

Alien Xmas will release on Netflix on November 20th!
