There’s never a shortage of technical innovation at a Walt Disney Park. That’s especially true in the case of augmented reality. Recently, Disney teamed up with VR engineers The Void to create Star Wars: Secrets of the Empire. The high-tech, immersive attraction brought fans into their favorite galaxy far, far away, and the reception to the game/ride was fantastic. Now, Disney’s doing it again, with another one of their most popular properties.
Ralph Breaks the Internet hits theaters this November. The video-game-based movie is a sequel to the smash hit Wreck-It Ralph, and with a cast including John C. Reilly and Gal Gadot, fans are sure to be thrilled by the animated follow-up. That goes double for anyone visiting a Disney Park this coming fall, as Wreck-It Ralph is the subject of Disney’s all-new VR attraction.
Ralph Breaks VR will bring visitors fully into the colorful worlds of Ralph and Vanellope. Though it isn’t clear now what the storyline of the attraction will be, we’re sure that it will be a delight to die-hard Disney fans and newbies alike. Via the Disney Parks blog...
Beginning this fall, Ralph Breaks VR will put you inside a new multi-sensory Disney adventure where you’ll be immersed in the worlds of the internet and online gaming with Wreck-It Ralph and Vanellope. To create Ralph Breaks VR and future hyper-reality experiences that allow you to explore amazing worlds and engage with favorite characters, The Walt Disney Company and ILMxLAB (Lucasfilm’s award-winning immersive entertainment division) are again collaborating with the team at The VOID.
