A few days ago, there were rumours doing the rounds suggesting that
a new trailer for the long awaited Detective Pikachu movie could be releasing soon. Well, today is that day, as Warner Bros. has officially released the second trailer for the first live action
Pokémon movie:
Detective Pikachu.
The brand new trailer for
Detective Pikachu gives us some background story for both Detective Pikachu — who finds himself alone and with amnesia — and Tim Goodman, who has been desperately looking for his missing father. Both end up getting acquainted and team up in order to solve the mystery of Tim's father's disappearance.
Not only does the trailer deliver a bunch of classic Pokémon action, but it also gives us our first look at the live action version of Mewtwo, and it'll likely put a big smile on long-time fans of the Pokémon series.
Boasting the talents of Ryan Reynolds as Detective Pikachu, and Justice Smith as Tim Goodman, the
Detective Pikachu movie adaptation is being directed by Rob Letterman — known for
Monster vs. Aliens and
Goosebumps(2015).
