If you're looking to get into the holiday spirit this year, there's perhaps no better way than with Dr. Seuss' holiday classic, How the Grinch Stole Christmas! Over the years, there have been numerous adaptations of the beloved 1957 children's book — from the original 1996 animated special to the 2000 live-action movie to Illumination's 2018 CG-animated film. While each offers its own unique spin on the timeless tale, they all deserve a place in your 2023 holiday movie streaming marathon.
In past years, it's been pretty difficult to track down where to watch each different version, but this year it seems easier than ever! Below you can find a full breakdown of where to watch each version — How the Grinch Stole Christmas!, Dr. Seuss' How the Grinch Stole Christmas, and Dr. Seuss' The Grinch — in 2023.
Where to watch How the Grinch Stole Christmas! (1966)
The one that started it all, How the Grinch Stole Christmas! is the original animated TV special that first debuted in 1966. This 25-minute special, featuring Boris Karloff as the voice of the Grinch and the narrator, is a classic retelling of the Dr. Seuss story and a perennial holiday special.
The easiest way to watch How the Grinch Stole Christmas! is through Peacock. Peacock's Premium plan costs $5.99 a month or $59.99 per year.
