Sonic the Hedgehog made his debut in theatres back in February. The live-action movie is based on the popular video game series of the same name and stars Ben Schwartz as the voice of the titular speedster. The cast also includes Jim Carrey, James Marsden, and Tika Sumpter as Dr. Robotnik, Tom Wachowski, and Maddie Wachowski respectively.
What with director Jeff Fowler and presumably most of the crew being big fans of the Sonic the Hedgehog franchise, they included a couple of awesome Easter Eggs and references in the movie. If you're unfamiliar; an Easter Egg is a small detail included in a piece of media as a joke, bonus, or reference.
Now that Sonic the Hedgehog is available to purchase and own digitally — more on that here — Paramount Pictures has put together and released a video which points out a couple of the awesome Easter Eggs that are included in the movie. There are references to the video games abound, some more obvious than others.
What's more, the official video only showcases five of them. That means there's plenty more to be found throughout the movie. So, keep an eye out the next time you sit down to watch the Sonic the Hedgehog movie.

Sonic the Hedgehog is a live-action adventure comedy based on the global blockbuster videogame franchise from Sega that centers on the infamously brash bright blue hedgehog. The film follows the (mis)adventures of Sonic as he navigates the complexities of life on Earth with his newfound – human – best friend Tom Wachowski (James Marsden). Sonic and Tom join forces to try and stop the villainous Dr. Robotnik (Jim Carrey) from capturing Sonic and using his immense powers for world domination. The film also stars Tika Sumpter and Ben Schwartz as the voice of Sonic.
Sonic the Hedgehog is now available digitally — Blu-ray and Ultra 4K HD release set for May 19th, 2020.
