Heidi Klum loves Halloween. Each year that's reflected in the amount of work and care she puts into her costume. Fans of the model & entrepreneur might remember her old lady costume from a few years ago, in which she aged 50 years with impressive prosthetics. Then there was last year, when she went as the werewolf from Michael Jackson's Thriller music video. All of her costumes, including the two I just mentioned, were extravagantly planned and brilliantly executed. And this year she followed up on them. This year, Heidi Kulm took on the look of one of the most iconic characters from one of the most iconic animated franchises of all time. And it's got us here at Toonado seeing green.

Fans will of course recognize Fiona from the animated classic Shrek. Originally voiced by Cameron Diaz, Fiona was Shrek's unlikely love interest, appearing in every film and TV special in the Shrek franchise. Head to Heidi Klum's Twitter for a look at the extensive makeup that went into Klum's look, plus a look back on some of her most impressive costumes as a lead up to Fiona. Klum will no doubt be appearing at some red-carpet event with her costume, so keep your eyes peeled for that as well.

What was your favorite animation-inspired Halloween costume this year? Did Heidi Kulm's costume take the cake for celebrity get-ups, or can you think of someone else who out-Halloweened her?
